NEV (nodding):
That's right, Max. Ella's been elusive, and her behavior has raised some red flags. We're here to uncover the truth.

They exchange a determined look before knocking on the door. Moments later, the door creaks open, revealing a familiar face - Selena Gomez.

MAX (stunned):
Wait, is that... Selena Gomez?

NEV (equally surprised):
Selena, what are you doing here?

Selena smiles nervously and steps outside.

SELENA GOMEZ:
Hey, guys. I'm not Ella, but everything else I said was true. I've been using her photos and her name because I'm searching for something real.

MAX (confused):
You're Selena Gomez. Why pretend to be someone else?

SELENA GOMEZ (sincere):
Look, I get a lot of attention because of who I am. But I want someone who'll love me for me, not just because I'm Selena Gomez. Ella's a great person, and I thought maybe if someone could fall for her, they'd truly love her and not just be with me for the clout.

Nev and Max exchange glances, processing Selena's words.

NEV (compassionate):

MAX (supportive):
We'll help you connect with John and explain everything. It's important to be honest from now on.
